Recently, I was speaking to a new acquaintance. He asked me to do something simple. “Sell yourself to me” Well I did not disappoint and he asked my contact details and hope we work together soon. I know how to package myself and what I have to offer in a few but impactful words.

The idea of an ‘elevator speech’ is that if an opportunity to pitch what you do presents itself, you’d be able to do so in the amount of time it takes for a short elevator ride.

If you’ve never developed a 30 secs – 1 mins professional or personal elevator speech, now may be a good time.

Why? Preparation always meets opportunity!

Your elevator speech should contain Certain Basics I would want to share.

In the short span of an elevator ride, or a chance meeting anywhere, you have an excellent opportunity to make a good first impression and unlock doors to potential opportunity by using small words with a big impact!
